Unlike a rainbow ombre look with colours blended together, the viral trend involves bleaching the hair horizontally or vertically to create a shine line.
The trend is a twist on the 2014 hair trend, Splashlights, which involved a horizontal band of bleached hair going from ear to ear to create the illusion of a laser beam hitting a certain spot on the hair.Shine line too has the laser beam feel, but with a beautiful rainbow effect. Usually the roots and the hair ends are kept the same colour to lock in the prism and emphasize the colour beam.
